Neighbourhood Watch

The DVRA have been asked about the possibility of setting up a Neighbourhood Watch by a number of people in the community.

We are looking to find out what the appetite for this would be, our initial plan would be to split the area into 7 sections with each section having a main contact that would report to the relevant bodies and into a coordinator for the whole area if there is an issue they can't get resolved which would escalate to the DVRA and Councillors.

We will adopt the system developed by Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, that has the facility to communicate alert with members of the neightbourhood watch scheme.

Futher details on the scheme can be found at Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.

Being involved with the Neighbourhood watch could be a simple as joining and reporting any issues to the relevant liasons for there sections to being that sections liason who would report and communicate with the area.

If you are interested in joining the neighbourhood watch please email your name and address to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Yours Sincerely
